Prior’s Field School (Age 10-16)
History:
Prior’s Field School was founded in 1902 by Julia Huxley, and has a fascinating history, with links to famous authors, scientists, and actresses! The school building was designed by the highly regarded architect C. F. A. Voysey, and many original features of his unique design can still be seen around the school.
Location:
Set in twenty-three acres of parkland just outside Godalming in Surrey, the school is just 45 minutes away from London. The South Coast, with its beautiful seaside towns and beaches, is also within easy reach, and both Gatwick and Heathrow airport are less than one hour away.
Accommodation:
The bedrooms at Prior’s Field School are comfortable and clean. Most of them are single and include a washbasin, with some small dormitories also available. Showers and baths are easily accessible, and a weekly laundry service is offered.
Meals:
Students enjoy freshly prepared food three times a day. The menu changes each week, with plenty of variety to keep students happy and healthy. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice, such as halal, celiac, etc.
Facilities:
With a sports hall, heated outdoor pool, seven tennis courts, netball courts, hockey, football, and rounders pitches, and an athletics track, the facilities offered at Prior’s Field School are second to none.
