Southbourne School (Age 12-15)
Location
Internationally renowned for being clean and green, Bournemouth is one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan places in Britain. Wrapped around beautiful gardens, pedestrianised boulevards and just a short walk from the award winning beach, the town buzzes with activity all year round.
In contrast, Southbourne School of English occupies purpose-built premises in a quiet Victorian residential suburb, just a ten-minute walk from the beach. During the summer months we also use our summer annex within easy walking distance of the main school.
Accommodation
Homestay accommodation – living with a carefully selected English family gives students an ideal opportunity to learn about the British way of life and to practise their English in real-life situations. All families are within easy walking distance of the school and are chosen for their caring and friendly attitude.
Accommodation includes breakfast, a packed lunch and evening meal every day. We are able to meet most dietary requirements e.g. coeliac, pork free, etc. Weekly laundry is also done by the host family.
Tuition and Activity Programme
- 15 hours tuition per week
- Afternoon lessons, 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 14.00 – 15.00, 15.15 – 16.15, 16.30 – 17.30
- All course materials are included
- Maximum class size 16
- One full-day excursion per week
- Varied sports and activity programme
