Open Evening for host families

Our open evening for host families is being held on the 28th November (families new to hosting in 2012) and the 10th December (existing families previous to 2012).

The evening will be a chance for you to have a look around the school, meet other host families, meet some teachers and staff from the office, as well as ask any questions you may have about hosting.

There will be lots of nibbles and drinks available, including of course mince pies!!!

We look forward to seeing you at the Open Evening and, once again, would like to thank you for your support throughout the year, especially during the summer.

Please could you let us know by email, or phone, if you are available? Could you also confirm which evening you plan on attending?

We hope you can all make it and we look forward to seeing you.

Congratulations Paul!!

Paul ran his first ever Marathon alongside 40,000 other runners in the Berlin BMW Marathon on September 30th and finished in a very respectable time of 3.49 hrs.  We wish him all the best as Paul hopes to participate in next year’s run as well.

JEANS for GENES

The School is taking part in Jeans for Genes day on the 28th September and in return for a donation of £2 (or more!) everyone can come to work in their jeans (Or Fancy dress!!).

Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders. Funds raised provide vital care and support for thousands of children with genetic disorders.

Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.

Taking part in Jeans for Genes Day means we could all make a real difference to affected children’s lives by helping fund the care and support they really need.
