Open Evening for host families

Our open evening for host families is being held on the 28th November (families new to hosting in 2012) and the 10th December (existing families previous to 2012).

The evening will be a chance for you to have a look around the school, meet other host families, meet some teachers and staff from the office, as well as ask any questions you may have about hosting.

There will be lots of nibbles and drinks available, including of course mince pies!!!

We look forward to seeing you at the Open Evening and, once again, would like to thank you for your support throughout the year, especially during the summer.

Please could you let us know by email, or phone, if you are available? Could you also confirm which evening you plan on attending?

We hope you can all make it and we look forward to seeing you.

We are sorry to announce sad news

We are sorry to have to tell you that one of our teachers, David Pountney, died after a short illness on Sunday 8th July.

David worked at Southbourne School of English from May 1997 to April 2012, when he was taken ill.  Many of our students will have fond memories of David’s lessons and his hard work in the Language Laboratory and Library – not to mention his superb performances in the recent Christmas pantomimes.  We miss David a lot.

We are sure you will join us in thinking of his family at this sad time.
