Guide to Levels
Yes, Southbourne School of English is accredited by the British Council. We are also members of Quality English, English UK, English UK South and English UK Young Learners.
At Southbourne School of English, you can study for as long as you like, starting from one week.
In summer, we accept students from the age of 10 at our main school. Our residential centre accepts students from 9 – 16. Junior students are kept separate from adult students for both lessons and activities. Outside of summer, we do not accept individual junior students, except on our spring programme. However, we do accept closed group juniors throughout the year.
No, we ask for the £90 registration fee to enrol the student and we ask for payment for the course in full 4 weeks prior to the course start date. We cannot send out confirmation of booking, or visa application documents, before we have received a registration fee payment.
The school is able to offer local homestay accommodation. Most homestay accommodation is within walking distance of the school. Students under the age of 16 staying in homestay accommodation for longer than 26 nights will need to be placed with a Private Foster family. If you wish to rent a flat privately, we would suggest that you visit the Bournecoast website.
