We make sure that all our students have a happy, safe home to return to after school. All our host families have been carefully selected by us and some have been working with us for years. Homestays are designed to give a family feel, and could be one or more adults with or without Children. We have a large selection of families to choose from and they have all been police checked.
We also have a designated welfare officer and an accommodation officer who visits the homes to guarantee that they are of a high satandard. We believe that choosing the right family for you is important as we want you to feel comfortable, happy and safe.
All our homestays are within walking distance of the school and adults aged 18+ are guaranteed single rooms all year round
By living with a host family, you’ll enjoy home comforts and learn as much as you can about the English way of life.
Having every opportunity to practise your English is important to us. We make sure that you aren’t in the same house as another student of the same nationality. You’ll learn much more by speaking in English at every opportunity. However, if you would like to share a room with your friend, or be in the same host family as a friend, let us know and we’ll arrange it.
“My host family is really good. They are polite, communicative and help me in all situations if I need it. The food is very tasty and my room is very tidy so I’m happy.” – Victoria, an adult student from Russia, 2013.
During our quieter seasons, students can have a room to themselves, unless they ask to share. As it’s busier in the summer, students under 18 years old share a twin-bedded room to help with demand.
What we need to know from you
The more we know about your needs, the more we can do to help. Whether they are special accommodation requests, allergies or dietary requirements, let us know before arriving. We want to match you with the family best suited to you.
Many families in England have pets. Tell us if you do not want to stay with a family with animals and we’ll do our best to help.
