Dus hoe groot of klein het probleem ook is, ze staan klaar om te helpen.<\/p>\n<p>Voor medisch advies raadplegen de meeste studenten de arts of tandarts van hun gastgezin, maar wij kunnen helpen bij het maken van afspraken. Voordat je naar Groot-Brittanni\u00eb reist, raden we je aan een verzekering af te sluiten. Studenten uit de EU kunnen een Britse GHIC-kaart aanvragen.<\/p>\n<p>We hebben ook een 24-uurs noodhulplijn voor gastheren en studenten. Een medewerker staat voor u klaar in geval van nood buiten kantooruren.<\/p>\n<p>Ouderejaarsstudenten jonger dan 18 jaar die zelfstandig reizen, ontmoeten onze welzijnsfunctionaris eenmaal per week. Ze bespreken eventuele problemen of moeilijkheden die ze ondervinden bij het wennen aan het leven in Engeland.<\/p>\n<p><em>*Informatie verkrijgbaar bij de receptie van de school<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Welzijn<\/h2>\n<p>In het Verenigd Koninkrijk is iedereen jonger dan 18 jaar minderjarig. We moeten extra zorg besteden aan studenten jonger dan 18 jaar. Elke week is er een gesprek met onze welzijnsfunctionaris, Charlie, voor studenten van 15, 16 of 17 jaar die niet tot een groep behoren. Studenten moeten bij dit gesprek aanwezig zijn. Kathryn zal controleren of alles in orde is met hun verblijf. Als studenten problemen hebben of zich ergens zorgen over maken, kunnen ze altijd met Kathryn praten. Als ze priv\u00e9 met haar willen praten, zal ze een gesprek met hen regelen.<\/p>\n<p>Als leerlingen afwezig zijn, meldt de leerkracht dit. Het is daarom belangrijk dat leerlingen elke dag op tijd komen. Als een leerling ziek is, kan hij of zij contact opnemen met onze welzijnsmedewerker om een afspraak te maken met de dokter.<\/p>\n<p>We vragen studenten om beleefd te zijn en hun gastgezin te laten weten waar ze naartoe gaan wanneer ze het huis verlaten. Als ze bijvoorbeeld de bus naar huis missen en te laat komen, moeten ze hun gastgezin bellen om dit te laten weten. Studenten die we niet kunnen bereiken, worden als vermist opgegeven bij de politie.<\/p>\n<p>Het is belangrijk om te onthouden dat in het Verenigd Koninkrijk:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Het is illegaal om alcohol te kopen onder de 18 jaar<\/li>\n<li>Het is illegaal om sigaretten te kopen onder de 18 jaar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Het is belangrijk dat ouders weten dat leerlingen die een cursus voor volwassenen volgen (15 jaar en ouder) niet worden begeleid tijdens pauzes, na schooltijd en avondactiviteiten.<\/p>\n<p>Onbegeleide avondklokken voor kinderen onder de 18 jaar vari\u00ebren.
