Yes, Southbourne School of English is accredited by the British Council. We are also members of Quality English, IALC, English UK, English UK South and English UK Young Learners. We are also an examination centre for Cambridge and Trinity.

Courses start every Monday throughout the year (except for public holidays and during our Christmas & New Year closure). Junior courses are seasonal, please check Junior Courses for more information

Depending on the course, you can study for 1+ weeks. Our Cambridge English Exam courses run for 4 weeks on fixed dates throughout the year. Our Adult Summer course และ Junior Summer course run from mid-June to the end-of-August, and you can study on these for a maximum of 10 weeks. In summer, we accept students from the age of 9 at our main school (students aged 10 if accommodation is required). Outside of summer, we do not accept individual junior students, except in closed groups.

If you come from a country outside of the European Union then you may need a visa. More information can be found on our school policies page ที่นี่.

No, we ask for the £120 registration fee to enrol the student and we ask for payment for the course in full 4 weeks prior to the course start date. We cannot send out confirmation of booking, or visa application documents, before we have received a registration fee payment.

Our English school is able to offer ที่พักแบบโฮมสเตย์ year round, and private accommodation for students aged 18+ at specific dates in July-August – please view our latest Course Dates & Fees for more details. All of our homestay accommodation is either within a 30-minute walk, or a short bus journey from the school. Students under the age of 16 staying in homestay accommodation for longer than 27 nights will need to be placed with a Private Foster family due to Private Fostering Laws
