“Since my grandfather founded the school in 1966, we’ve helped thousands of students from around the world make real progress with their English.

Today I run the school with  Kathryn, our Principal,  and an expert team of staff and teachers. Together, we have years of experience in helping students get the most from their courses.

We take great pleasure in seeing our students enjoy their time with us here in Bournemouth – and watching their English skills improve.

Here at Southbourne School of English, Bournemouth, we do everything we can to help our students make the most of their time here at our language school.

We believe students do better in a friendly, safe, learning environment. As well as expert tuition, we encourage a sociable atmosphere, and organise activities that give students a taste of English language and culture.

Learning outside the classroom

Living with a local host gives our students an insight into British culture. We also run an exciting social programme of activities and trips to famous sights.

While they are with us, our students make friends from all over the world. The nearby beach, one of the finest in Europe, is a popular place to get together and have fun. Or take a trip into Bournemouth, an entertainment centre for the south coast of England.
