What IALC is
IALC is a global association of independent, accredited language schools. Membership is not automatic: schools are inspected against IALC's own quality standards, covering teaching, welfare, accommodation and the way a school is run, and are reviewed regularly to keep their place.
Why it matters to students and agents
IALC members are independent schools rather than chains, which is exactly what we've been since 1966. For students and for the agents who place them, membership is an independent signal that what we describe on this website is what you will actually find when you arrive.
